La Tanya Reed has been a participant in the
Downtown Art Project since late 2001. She specializes
in acrylic paintings with Biblical themes and of Christian
women. She has painted many striking “monochromatic”
works with themes such as “Women in the Bible,”
and women in her church. La Tanya studied art at San Jose
City College and has shown her work at several venues
around the Bay Area. Her work is instantly recognizable
and has attracted the interest of art collectors in the
San Jose area.
