One of our artists, Richard Tucker, has shown his work at several venues  including San Jose Repertory Theatre, and another artist, LaTanya Reed, has shown her work at San Jose City College and at Mexican Heritage Plaza.  All of our  artists have shown their work in the several gallery showings at our studio venue, the  African American Community Service Agency at 6th and Julian in downtown San Jose.
Most of our artists, numbering about fifteen affiliated with the Project, have also sold  paintings.   We also sell Christmas cards every November, and we have several beautiful  posters available for sale.  You can see some of the artists' work here on our web site,  and you can view the posters at the African American Community Service Agency.

In August 2001, artists from the Downtown Art Project participated in             the African American Community Services Agency's Summer Kids Camp,             conducting two art sessions with about twelve kids aged 7 to 14. In             the first session, the kids were trained in paint color, and then             they created some amazing paintings! In the second session, the subject             was clay sculpture and again there were some fascinating creations!
